Professional Book Reviews by Me

Now, the way I'm gonna do this is I'm gonna write the title of the book, and if there is a homepage or whatever, the title will be a link. Next will come the author, then my rating (you know, 1*-5*, 5* being the highest), then my review. OK. Here we go.

Cycle of the Werewolf by Stephen King: 3.5* This link takes you to the Green Mile homepage, one of his books, but their is a library of all his works there. 4* I feel this book could have been longer than it was, with each killing or chapter enlarged, and possibly have a deeper mystery to it. It's written in present tense, which isn't my favorite tense, but still, overall, the book is well written, well organized, easier reading, not hard to understand at all. Like I said before, it could have been carried on longer. I recommend this to anyone who likes horror and has a strong stomach.

The Witches of Eileanan by Kate Forsyth: 5* This book is AWESOME! Well first off, it's fantasy, obviously. See, there's this world that has all these different magical creatures that ahve been illegalized. Now we have these witches that are trying to fix that. Well, it's really good, and I love the characters and setting. Oh yeah. If you have no patience, don't read this. The next installment isn't coming out until June 1999! Doesn't that just stink!

Ghost Host by Marilyn Singer: 5* Okay. This book is for a young adult, but I just love it! Well, the mother, instead of cussing, uses words like crepuscular and bastinado. How could you not like a book like that? Plus, the plots good, and you just fall in love with the characters.

The Blending Bk. 1: Convergence by Sharon Green: 5** I LOVE IT! I just ordered the books from my book store! This is SERIOUSLY the best book I've read. EVER! I love the characters. It's like you know them personally, and for your whole life. This is seriously one of the best books I've read in my life. I can't wait until the 4th and 5th books come out!

Danger.com @ 6 Bad Intent by Jordan Cray: 3* Okay. I just jumped right into series, and maybe that was a bad idea, but I didn't care that much for this book. It ends just like a Goosebumps would, and I don't care to see that. It leaves you hanging, and I'd much rather have a sense of finality to a book. I like to know that the main character lives happily ever after or gets killed or caught or whatever. Plus, I don't think the plot is that believable. I don't think that the main character would do half of the things he did in the book. I don't know. I recommend it if you're younger.

The Enchanted Forest Chronicles: Dealing with Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede: 5** This book is just funny! I loved it! I'm beginning the next in the four-book series. The characters are unforgettable, the plot lines are great, the setting is perfectly detailed and descriptive. And, it's HILARIOUS! READ THIS ONE, if you don't ever read a book again.

The Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia C. Wrede: 5** This is just gonna take the place of all 4 books in the series, Dealing With Dragons, Searching For Dragons, Calling On Dragons, and Talking To Dragons. They are all excellent. That's all there is to it. They're great. Great characters, great plot, great humor, great setting. Great everything. READ THEM!

The Last Herald-Mage trilogy by Mercedes Lackey: 5** This is an EXCELLENT series! Although, if you are prejudiced...I wouldn't recommend this..the main character, and many of the others, are gay. But, this book is EXCELLENT! The characters are superb. Vanyel is now one of my fave characters of all-time. The plot...great...this is one of the only books that ever brought me to near-tears. GOOD JOB MISTY!

A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin: 5* Good book. A little bit on the less-detailed side...like I think it could have been longer...but, it was GREAT! I don't know if it was as good as everyone says, but it was very close!

To tell you the truth, that's all the books I have read lately, that I feel strongly enough to give reviews on. I also keep up with many series, including
